This book is about a fountain that is leaking and they want to fix it. I loved this book. It is really fun because it is a mixture of letters, phone messages, newspaper articles and stuff like that. You don't just read the book like a regular novel, you have to go from page to page putting the story together for yourself. The writer and illustrator really put things in order so you can figure out the mystery that's going on with the fountain. It's really fun to figure out the mystery and to see the ideas the school kids suggested for the fountain. I'd like one with hot chocolate!!! --- I live in Illinois and we could use that in the winter! READ THIS BOOK!

Max also wants to write a book about a bear named Grizzle.
He asks for advice to the author D.J Lucas.
She gives him a lot of good advice.
And before and after his surgery D.J. encloses a gift for Max.
